Dear Spartan Colleagues:
In appreciation of the MSU community and all that we have accomplished together during the past 20 months, the university is pleased to provide an extended break to employees from Dec. 24, 2021, through Jan. 3, 2022. The decision to offer an extended break at the end of this year is in recognition of the many contributions made by all MSU employees as our campus community continues to respond to the impact of COVID-19.
Given the scope of operations associated with a university the size of MSU, we recognize there may be some circumstances in which taking an extended break is not feasible for some units. If that’s the case for a specific unit, respective leader(s) will share further guidance. For more information, please review these Frequently Asked Questions.
I value the immense contributions made by all our employees to safeguard the health of our community, serve our students and community with excellence and advance the university’s strategic goals. You have faced significant challenges this year, and I appreciate your tremendous dedication. I hope an extended break will support the well-being of everyone after an especially challenging time.
The university is grateful for everything you do for our community each day.
